Well that just about summed up the whole night and I was mega pleased to have a great response from people who attended the night saying how much they enjoyed it and can they have Pat Bleasdale back again soon??? We’ll have to see what she can accommodate. Also good to receive positive comments on the night from the “dyed in the wool oldies crowd” as they loved the night – BINGO……

Many thanks to those who travelled so far to attend the soul night namely:

Peter and Jackie from Wolverhampton, Tom from Burnley (we’ll be having him on as a guest DJ soon), Helen from Clitheroe and of course Pat and Peter from Liverpool. The locals who support us month in month out also need a mention as without them we wouldn’t have the soul nights – too many to mention – you know who you are though….

Ian missed the night due to family wedding – he’ll be back with a vengeance next month with some new plays too.

Next month is a big charity oldies night on the 3rd October but we’ll be back on 7th November with Ian “Hammie” Hamilton from Bedford as guest dj. I’ve already got Hammies playlists and cd compilation – it’s a cracker….. hopefully, see you all soon.

Regards – Paul, Kev, Paul and Ian…… SERIOUS SHADES OF SOUL

Hello Rob, good to see your still reading the playlists. You're welcome back anytime.  Regards Paul

Hi Paul, this is reality, isn't it?...the real stuff...more people should be engaging in nights like this, they should flourish all over the u.k., a necessity to not keep pandering to the oldies routine...if it has to be oldies, then let it be the myriad of forgotten ones mixed in with the stuff that never got out of the starting blocks. i think the fact that you are quietly going about your business without kicking up a fuss serves to enlighten people's concept of the scene..i'd rather scream it out loud, but you guys are reserved, allowing the vinyl to do the talking.....taking a leaf out of your book is what a good many could still do, if they had faith and the capacity to give their crowds the faith as well.

anyway, am really chuffed aboot gannin' oop north, if yer wants me ta spin a few vinyls, man!..alreet!!
