Guest Hunnymon Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 As anyone got a mp3 of Arthur Prysocks version of The Dramatics "In the rain" that they could post up. It came out in 1974 on Old Town. Robbie Vincent played it a few times on his Saturday radio one show ; I've not heard it since then! Is it rare?
Stillsoulin Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 A really good version, not sure of its rarity, got mine in a soul pack years ago so there must be quite a few more out there, not techy enough to do a soundfile, but if you have no luck i could get my old mate Loydee to do you one. rob h.
Guest Gavin Page Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Can't post clips sorry ! Should not be to hard, but in saying that the last one I saw i purchased for myself. As you, Robbie put me on to this - Wonderful record !
Harrogatesoul Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Mmm - Not heard this version. Rate Wee Gees' version - Brilliant tough version IMHO. Rich

Thinking about it - Try Mr Thorley he used to have quite a bit of Prysocks stuff in stock ?
Blake H Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Good, but The Dramatics edge it, imvho BH
simonb Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 What about The Wooden Glass - Instrumental but more soulful than a lot of vocals GENIUS
Guest D'Arcy Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 And "Blue Magic's" version 'aint bad either.
Guest Hunnymon Posted September 12, 2006 Posted September 12, 2006 I'm gonna move this song onto my wants list dispite not hearing the track in over 30 years; your comments made about the Prysock version have convinced me the song is as good as I remembered it being.
