The hip hop thing only comes in towards the end. The gang stuff is amazing and shocking at the same time. Great documentary.
Guest Byrney Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 This looks right up my street, look forward to seeing this Dave.

Godzilla Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Just re-read this by coincidence. More about the images really but the background is really interesting. 1
Biggordy Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 These kids nowadays who think they're "gangstas", would crap their pants and scream for their Mums if they came face to face with some of the original gangs (hypothetically that is due to most of the OGs being in their fifties and sixties now!).
Guest Soulskate70 Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I really enjoyed this documentary and it's well worth watching.... It's already been mentioned, but it's really a history of the New York gangs and how certain acts of violence made the gangs change their ways and channel their energy into other things (the early hip-hop culture)... The Hip Hop footage shown has been used in other documentaries before, but may be fresh to some viewers. It really is worth taking a look.....
