Well Paul, you could be getting confused here……The George Benson version is mainly instrumental but does have  vocal verses too, though further into the song…..give it a proper listen when you get a chance.

Yes Valdez in the country, what a great track. George Benson's version led me to Donny Hathaway's, which I already had, but had never played on the flip of Magdelena.
