George Benson did the Instrumental but I cannot remember who did the vocal... or was I dreaming

Well Paul, you could be getting confused here……The George Benson version is mainly instrumental but does have  vocal verses too, though further into the song…..give it a proper listen when you get a chance.:thumbsup:

Thanks All, Its the sparse vocal sections, I now remember (and mistook for a full vocal)

4 mins in the vocal kicks in yep  - lp version at least

knocked me off my feet at the ritz when first heard it, got the lp next day at w h smiths

hearing stuff like this really led to my  ears being opened up back then, I mean valdez in the country on  a dreary monday morning

Yes Valdez in the country, what a great track. George Benson's version led me to Donny Hathaway's, which I already had, but had never played on the flip of Magdelena.
