Nah, I dont think so. He DJ's at South in Manchester, which is an club playing indie - madchester stuff. On the posters/flyers they list the type of music that they play. Northern is 2nd on the list. I went down and all I heard was the snake.

He Djs at a student night in Oldham amongst others. (Kane not Greg)

If he is supposed to like Northern Soul it is news to me. He always mentions some good obscure indie music in interviews, but never once heard hin mention soul.

Oops missed Paul's post

I thought most things on ebay were Northern Soul these days :wicked:

I have for sale a northern soul beer mat.

Says 'Heineken. Refreshes the parts other beer cant reach.'

Same as the beer towel my aunty wore when she once went out with a fella and sat on his red vinyl -Stone Soul Lovin, Casino Classics record, before her fella packed her in for liking Suzie Quatro more.

Bid in confidence.

Sorry for the off topic, but I think we'd established the guy does like Soul and yet again I was wrong

anyone remember the jo boxers drummer at the stafford allniters in the 80's???

Yes - Sean McLuskey. Also ran the Sensible Soul nites with Craig Brick and Paul Guntrip.

Sean also did the here-and-there spot at the 100 Club between 1984 - 1988. Decent bloke to chat to.

Just seen this on one of his links from the uni web site....

"He is also passionate about 60's music, the Motown catalogue, and was at one time a DJ with a show playing northern soul"

God morning Bev! Eric was at the Cricket Club right at the start, around late 72 early 73? Were you there when Frank Elson came down and only interviewed the absolute d...heads?

Some good people around then, Brad, The Tod Crew, Keith Ridge, the formidable and large Burnley crew, and occasionally a large Blackpool and Yorkshire mob, not forgetting Fuse, Judy, Toofy and the rest.
