  • Funny what you can't remember! Was around when Brothers etc was being played but just can't remember Ernie Bush at all.  Thanks for the input guys.

I'm sure it was just a new release on Contempo in about 74/75 that was being pushed by Blues & Soul. I never remember it being too big anywhere.

I have/had a live tape from The Cir All Nighter in Burnley (C120) and it is on there twice.

Side one Ginger playing it, side two Sam playing it.

Yes played at same time as Brothers Are you ready for this and Third Time Around Soon everything is gonna be alright. Played at Samanthas, WC and Cleethorpes.

Definitely played at Wigan in the main room, probably late 75. Ginger also played it, and it was played at Burnley Rose Room and the Circ all dayers.

I don't remember this at Wigan or Burnley either. Strange!

My copy was on Scepter with licensed to Contempo record's underneath. Didn't see another one.

Great record and was definitely played at the Casino

First time I heard it would have been at The Ebor Suite in York - so most likely played by Alan Rhodes. But agreed, it was played all over Yorkshire (at least) to my knowledge - maybe not for a long time though. I'd say it got dropped as soon as the Contempo release came out, which was when I bought my copy.

The US Contempo / Scepter 45 must have come out a short while after that but it was many years later before I came across a copy.

I played it out every weekend for several months, must have been around mid '75? Agree John, a huge record around S.Yorks at the time.

The Magnet. Another gaff I frequented but don't remember it from there either!
