Guest rachel Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 (edited) Was having a discussion the other day about just how many good tunes this guy recorded. One getting played to death in my house at the moment is 'Drop By My Place' on Backbeat... https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Little_Carl...By_My_Place.ram Any good biographies about on the net? (yes I'm being lazy, I could go and look for one, but I'm at work and I really should go and actually do some soon ) Any favourite/ recommended/ lesser known tracks? Val (Chunky) Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 (edited) Check out all of the following Back Beat releases: Don't Walk Away / Hold On A Little Longer The Generation Gap / Where Have You Been Why Don't They Leave Us Alone / I Won't Let That Chump Break Your Heart I can feel it / You've got so much (To learn about love) Competion Ain't Nothing / Three Way Love Bad For Each Other / Look At Mary Wonder Two timer / Drop by my place They're all good, I think there is only one on Back Beat that's not up to much. It's the one on the white Back Beat, can't recall the title. Edited September 7, 2006 by Chunky

John Al Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Hi Rachel, for me it's "Nothing No Sweeter Than Love" on Golden World, recorded when he was 12! Classic northern and an early play from my Yate days. I also have a demo album from 1985 - "Private Propery" on Casablanca which ain't too bad. It also includes a brief biog and photo which are attached below. May not be what you are looking for but it's a start. John.

Was going to ask if there were any good album-only tracks as well (there's a late 60s/early 70s LP on Backbeat isn't there?) Chunky - I'll watch out for the white one Have played 'Don't Walk Away' and 'I Can Feel It' out a few times.. actually heard 'I Can Feel It' quite a bit lately, deservedly too IMO
