Pk 22dj Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) I paid good money years back but have never seen it for sale or auction since, so I beg the question to all out there, just how rare is this tune and what would be considered the going price.cheers PK Edited June 14, 2015 by pk 22dj

Mal C Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) seen it once in the last year on Ebay, but it does turn up, obviously it goes for big money every time...Popspike can give you a history on Ebay at least https://www.popsike.com/php/quicksearch.php?searchtext=Court+Davis&x=21&y=12 that was it, it was a very chipped one, I remember putting a bid in to see if i could stick it in a frame, as it was unplayable... that copy went for $255, although best win on there is the person who won it listed for the flip side "THE WORLD KEEPS SPINNING" at $688 in 2010... thats a good one me thinks.. Gointoagogo Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 One sold a couple of weeks ago - $2658 - there was a thread on here about it I thinkhttps://www.popsike.com/COURT-DAVIS-TRY-TO-THINK-MOSTER-NORTHERN-SOUL-HOLY-GRAIL-EAST-COAST-45-7-HEAR-/251971929210.html
Philt Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 JM auctioned mine maybe 5 years ago. Can't remember what it went for now. It's rare but does turn up periodically
Ficklefingers Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 JM auctioned mine maybe 5 years ago. Can't remember what it went for now. It's rare but does turn up periodicallyJM also auctioned my copy - must be 5-6 years ago now. Don't remember exact price but it sold for around £2.4k.I agree with Phil.. Turns up only on occasion, indicating that it rarity is a main contributing factor to any seldom seen copies when it does actually come to market. 2
John Everard Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) Covered by Richard Searling as 'The lover who loves you not' as I recall. The name Herbie Williams comes to mind but I'm not certain of that. Edited June 15, 2015 by John Everard 1
Pomonkey Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Many years ago Greg T found one here in the 26th St flea market for I believe $1, rather nice.
Guest Waggy Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 The name Herbie Williams comes to mind but I'm not certain of that.Correct
Pk 22dj Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Would anyone agree it would be be an equal swap for a Cecil Washington ?
Frankie Crocker Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Would anyone agree it would be be an equal swap for a Cecil Washington ?Not really. Court Davis rarely comes to market. You can pick up Cecil Washington more easily for £1,750. Better to own both rather than view it as an either/or decision.
