NORTHERN SOUL COAST TO COAST

Some classic Northern Soul with the emphasis on the type of records that rocked Cleethorpes, Blackpool and Wigan in the mid-70’s, especially the former two, lots more 70’s on this than you’d usually find on one of my mixcasts but it’s good, exciting, uptempo 70’s, not Modern Soul or Crossover dirges.  These are bookended by some top sounds, dancers and rarities.  Should get you in the mood for something!

Enjoyed listening to that one Pete.  Couldn't remember hearing "Putting on the Ritz" played anywhere until I realised it had just automatically gone on to the next Mixcloud podcast.

Brilliant again Pete, how good is Lou Edwards & why is it not played anymore, hardly? Same with Life - Tell me why, Rosey Jones, Skullsnaps but the Melba Moore I remember best was Don't cry, sing along & I seem to remember at Cleethorpes no one would play Spider Turner, you couldn't give it away, how sad is that.

Spot.?

P.s. World Column was a Cleethorpes Anniversary give away, what a tune & what a freebie.✊
