macca Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I used to think this was dog rare but it seems not to be the case. I first remember hearing it via Soul Sam but understand Richard S played it at Wigan too, late 77 or early 78 perhaps? Am I off the mark date wise? Still does it for me. Great memories too.
Pete S Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 No you are spot on with the date. January 78 I got one cut...came out just after 1
Tony Smith Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Not dog rare?? Hardly a common record on original by any shakes?
macca Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Not common, no... but not as scarce as I once thought it was, judging by two mates who have copies and Popsike info. Maybe I'm wrong in thinking there's more than a handful...perhaps we need to define dog rare? Copies that can be counted on one hand? 1
Robbk Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I'm sure there are several American Detroit collectors that also have it. I've seen it about 3 times in USA back in the old days.
Quinvy Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Nothing is as rare as we all thought before the internet. But when you can access the world with one click of a mouse, anything is possible. 3
KevH Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Someone on here snagged a real one from ebay, not listed as orig. He'd already got one so moved it on.

If it's my left then 3 - but if my right hand then only two!?! 12

Given the good (as in near identical) state of one of the boots I think some of the Popsike examples would be questionable given the vague descriptions. Although if the example that Kev quotes above is the one I'm thinking of, I remember not bidding for it presuming due to price it must be a boot. Saw the buyer who confirmed it was an original. How sick did I feel. 2
