Down Under Soul Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 Shazzamed it etc but they all say Theme from Coloured Man BUT I have that on vinyl and its an instrumental. So can anyone put me out of my misery and let me know the title and the singer, label etc. Great tune I reckon. Thanks Steve
El Corol Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 You can always just play Marvin Gaye You're a Wonderful One, maybe pitch it down slightly and there won't be too much difference, just the lyrics :-) 1
SteveM Posted May 18, 2015 Posted May 18, 2015 Richard Searling's unissued Emmanuel Laskey. "you know what I like" 10" acetate if I remember correctly. 1
Mark B Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 I can see where they get theme from coloured man from though the backing has that feel to it 1

Thanks Steve Thought Soul Sam had the only copy of Coloured Man (BTW is the title PC) back in the day, or was that wishful thinking (meaning it remained in his box). Steve Foran Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xXSknMN6S0I like that.
Robbk Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 From the sound, I'd guess it's a Thelma cut, but, perhaps unfinished as far as the instrumental mix? Sounds like Marvin's "Can I Get A Witness".
