Foi Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 (edited) Been meaning to post this to try and suss out what the score is with a copy of Edie Walker - I Dont Need You Anymore that is on "Dis Peru". Ive had the record for 2 years now (bought it from a Peruvian eBay seller for $22) and was wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the background of this record. The original US release is on the MEW label. But how did it end up being recorded and distributed in Peru?! Very bizarre...or maybe not.... All i know telling from the original cover is that it was produced and recorded in Lima, and it has "Muestra Promocianal Prohibido La Venta" = Promotional Copy/Sample Not For Sale stamped on it. I know Pete Smith had one of these for sale back in April 2011 (18th April was the post) and I'm as quizzical about it as he was back then, as its seems obscure and unusual for this record to have been recorded in Peru?! Three scans below are of actual record and cover ( maybe Coco Davila knows something?!) Edited May 16, 2015 by foi
