Ady Croasdell Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Anyone got a soundfile or a scan of I'll be gone side? Quality doesn't matter.taAdy
ShorterSoul Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 It's one you tube Ady... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGdj1tUa3Yw
Ady Croasdell Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Thanks, I couldn't find it. I'd still like to see a scan if anyone has it. And now I need to hear the flip too because this sounds like a female backing group to me.
Chalky Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) Hi Ady a topic on here some time back with scans and line up.... Edited May 15, 2015 by chalky
Chalky Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 (edited) And the line up courtesy of BobA This is the membership of the fascinators on burn: Helen Simpson, formerly of Little Joe Mosely & The Sequins on Del-Fi, The Vows on Markay, the uncr. group behind James Washington Lee, and later of The Attractions on Renfro and Bell; Ronnie Preyer, later of The Younghearts on Canterbury; Joe Lawson, formerly of the R&B group The Cheerios, aka The Chandeliers on Sue, and later of The Vows on V.I.P. Robbk Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 I posted the scans on that thread Ady. Do you want me to send you 300 dpi scans? 1
Ady Croasdell Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Thanks folks, that's good because the I'll Be Gone side is all girl which contradicts Steve Propes interviews but this is obviously mainly male. Fascinating tie-ins with Little Johnny Hamilton & The Creators. Incidentally Joe Lawson was also in the Vows on Markay in 1962 before rejoining around 1965/66.
Markw Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Here's both sides of my copy and soundfile of "Lonely". I can do a soundfile of the flip a later today. 01 Can't You See I'm Lonely.mp3
Robbk Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Tthought I read that Freeman King (the later actor) sang in the group on those 2 songs. He is not listed above. Was HE in The Creators? Perhaps he was only the songwriter and producer?
Ady Croasdell Posted May 17, 2015 Author Posted May 17, 2015 No but I think he managed them at the time of their Burn single before they teamed up with Gilbert Covell for the Dore releases.
