earl van dyke included a version on his solo lp,with keyboard accompaniment...however, this is the original unmixed backing track. it saw light of day as a part of a set of cd's via florida based, the singing machine....a karaoke business, who licensed tracks from motown...the first deal ever to include original artist vocals and backings anywhere in the world. this happened back in 2004. they were, however, only available in the states..there were 12 cd's in all, probably now deleted but included amongst the titles were "shake me wake me", "uptight", "get ready", "tears of a clown" & "this old heart of mine". i sent a copy of "nowhere to run" to richard, who instantly played it on his show on smooth radio, the reaction was amazing!...longtime ago now, but i still keep the copy i had cut in my playbox, simply because it is a genuine unissued track.
