Guest TONY ROUNCE Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 ...Does anyone know if there are anything other than test presses of this EP in existence? I've got one (bought for 7 euros at a flea market last November!), a mate's got one, seen a couple listed and sold (the two spoken of above) - but I've never seen it on a pukka Atlantic label, with a pic sleeve! TONE
Guest cC B Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 (edited) For those interested in ska & reggae; Prince Buster used almost the same backing track for his killer "Earthquake" tune. Even had the same guitar intro. Edited August 29, 2006 by cC B
Soul-slider Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 -->QUOTE(C.B @ Aug 29 2006, 07:40 AM) link For those interested in ska & reggae; Prince Buster used almost the same backing track for his killer "Earthquake" tune. Even had the same guitar intro. I'm gonna check that P.Buster track out! Bought the album 'Wanted One Soul Singer' just for that track! Cost me £40.

TONE Yep, seen and held the issued version (it's on French Stax). Here's a piccy for your perusal.

Sanquine Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 (edited) Bought a french ep of Blues in the night about 6 yrs ago, played out at Harrogate and York to mixed reaction - mainly negative - but I've always liked it and it's a good little shuffler Karen Edited August 31, 2006 by sanquine
Sebastian Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 (edited) I've got it on a regular Atlantic France 45 with a picture sleeve. "Watermelon Man" can be found on the flipside. A bit rare, I think. Will be eBaying it soon. Edited August 31, 2006 by Sebastian
grant Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 About £3 Dont see what people see in this....one of the worst starts to a record i've ever heard IMO £3 seems a bit steep to me
Guest dundeedavie Posted September 1, 2006 Posted September 1, 2006 and yet conversely i think it's one of the best
