Just wondering, what's the main room music policy at Rugby?

Can you elaborate?

We pick DJs knowing what they play to give a good mix across the board and with a second room, we compliment the DJ in the main room.

So if something doesn't float your boat in one room, you have another.

Is this what you are asking?

Reason was that going by the posted playlists it looked to me like Main Room policy is Northern oldies. That's why I asked. Thanks for the info.

Ah I see.

I suppose it's hard to give a full overview with only a few sets posted.

We like to give the djs a free reign on what they play...every genre, every era but it will always be predominantly 60s in a main room but defo not played out same old, same old.

Obviously the Freestyle Room gives more of a free reign than the main room as not the pressure of filling the floor.

Thanks for your interest.

Why don't you give us a go and make up your own mind

There are quite a few acetates of this, 60's and 70's takes.  Tim Brown got them early 90's, I think?

Hi Chalky, This is the same take as Tim Browns unusual Resist copy that turned up back end of last year! the one with no harmonica for the first half of the record! Don't think there was any difference on the matrix number on either issue!!

Ted, do the same as me, put them in the back of the box, then hey-presto when you take them out they're in order(ish), I never rely on memory..The age & the booze thing would easily win :(  :g:  :hatsoff2:

I have long been of the opinion that the best events be they allnighters, soul nights or weekender are the ones that offer a wide variety of musical styles via wide variety of DJ' s. That is exactly what Rugby offers long may this continue, the promoters have certainly got it right. Looking forward to my next visit which unfortunately won,t be till November due to work commitments.

Thanks Lucky one, we try our best and it's a real buzz when someone thinks we've got it right and peeps go home happy xx

Plus I get bored very easily and work on the assumption that everyone else does.
