Linda4me Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 A recent topic on here regarding the latest cd release "Move On Up" saying "same old" would it be possible/practical for "Soul Source" to compile and release our own cd ?? 1
kevinsoulman Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 there are obviously the people on here to make it so, good luck to the person making the final cut though. kev
Popular Post Ian Dewhirst Posted April 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 3, 2015 You reckon you can get several thousand contributors to agree on a track-listing....? Ian D 7
Amsterdam Russ Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Simple, Ian. Have a vote on everyone's suggestions. Mint members only to vote. Narrow down the initial 10,000 tunes to, say, half of that in the first round of voting and then get everyone to vote again based on the remainder and repeat. Keep doing that and you'll have the will of the people - and find you've got the "Move on up" track listing! 2
KevH Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Could do 3 cd's.One Northern,one RnB,one crossover / modern. 1
Steve S 60 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Could use the SS Hall of Fame as a starting point. 1
Maxwell Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Could do 3 cd's.One Northern, one RnB,one crossover / modern. Or do one with northern and Rnb on then the second with modern and a third one with crossover on..! Edited April 3, 2015 by Maxwell 1

Chris Robinson Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Think Pete Smith compiled a list of top faves from people on here a couple of years or so back can't we start with that.

Stateside Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 We couldn't get half the people on this site to nominate artists into the hall of fame, so I can't see us getting anywhere trying to compile a cd! Kev
