pikeys dog Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Yes, exactly the same cut but it has a different and better flipside.
John May Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 curious on price, is 35 - 50 about right ?
Labeat Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Yes, exactly the same cut but it has a different and better flipside. I d curious on price, is 35 - 50 about right ? Got mine John last year.... £40, so don't get held to ransom on it
Labeat Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 While were on the subject, if both "cuts" are exactly the same then why two different artists (or are they 1 & only?)
John May Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 Thanks for that, my estimate about right then. just need someone to part with a copy lol.
Labeat Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Yes, exactly the same cut but it has a different and better flipside. In actual fact Pike, Forest Woods has a longer intro, i listened to both versions some time ago and reckon DM has more oomph to it
John May Posted March 22, 2015 Author Posted March 22, 2015 While were on the subject, if both "cuts" are exactly the same then why two different artists (or are they 1 & only?) Forris woods was the version i was familiar with, only recently aware of the David Morris one. Perhaps i've heard David Morris many times thinking it was Forris Woods. 1
pikeys dog Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 Just played both copies on YouTube and so long as they are the correct version for each label scan there is no difference in them whatsoever. There are three repetitions of the opening brass riff, then the singer comes in at the point where the fourth would occur.

pikeys dog Posted March 22, 2015 Posted March 22, 2015 While were on the subject, if both "cuts" are exactly the same then why two different artists (or are they 1 & only?) It was used as a b-side filler on the Abbott release. There's every chance it was done under the name Forris Woods because David Morris was contractually obligated elsewhere. 1

Or that David Morris is a boring name.(apologies to any David Morris's reading this).
