Just got this in the mail from the US. Pressed on heavy 60s vinyl. Absolutely superb sound quality. How did these two tunes, originally released on Atco (Lenny O'Henry) and Decca (Leon Haywood), end up on CRA JON? Bootleg? Original? Second pressing? Made for the beach scene? Does anyone know anything? Leon is from 1967, Lenny was first released 1964 BUT was re-released in 1967 on Atco again. Coincidence? Did these tunes suddenly get popular in 1967. :thumbsup:whistling.gif

I dont believe this is a 60's issue. I reckon you're right with the 'Beach' theory as both were pretty big 'Beach' records.

I'd be surprised if these had showed up any more than 6-7 years ago (when I picked up my own copy).

Note the label states CRA JON not CRAJON (The Denise Lasalle owned production company - Bill Coday etc.)

Legit? I doubt it (One release being Atlantic Stable, the other being Decca - miles apart).

I've always thought it a 'Beach - Re-press' whistling.gif

Thought that as well. Payed $3 so no worries though. I do however suspect that is a much earlier press than from a couple of years back. That sound and vinyl quality can not be had these days when pressing 45s.

I have one of these Sebastian, found it in the US. I was also under the impression it was a bootleg although it does "look" like an original record.
