It's a nice tune at any price.

I remember a tune from 'back in the day' by Mamie Galore called 'Can't have cake (and eat it too)' or similar.

Is that an expensive/rare tune, not seen or heard it anywhere in 35 years.

I've either imagined it or should get out more.

That's the rascal, brilliant tune. Not sure why I credited it (in my head) to Mamie Galore, I wonder if it was covered as such?

Thanks Pete. Now .... who's selling one?!

I didn't hear this until late 2000's I think, I got one easy enough, but haven't had another since so I think it might be £100 or so

Here's my copy, but as you can see the labels are marked.

Not seen many over the years, It isn't easy to find in any condition.

I would say you've done well to find a copy plus it has decent labels.

Just wonder why that didn't show up when I searched for it.

If you're using the ebay.co.uk site then that's probably why.

Lots of records on ebay.com are not showing up on the "regional" sites (.uk .ca etc.).

You have to pay extra for listings to show up on the non-US sites.

First heard this when Dave Flynn used to play it at the Dome - according to him it got a few spins at Stafford covered up as Gwen Owens...https://www.anorakscorner.com/DiscReviews2.html

There's an acetate of Lela Martin using the Heartache Souveneirs backing track, one of the bunch found after she died sadly

Wouldn't mind hearing that, does it get played anywhere or is it tucked away in someone's collection.
