I didn't hear it but i wonder if what you were listening to was Lulu's cover version show. Can't remember what day it's on but she plays forgotten or unknown originals of more recent cover versions. Only heard it once on the way back from Scotland but it was excellent.

saga fm , this evening had a soul train, i could not listen to it as it is for the over 50,s, but they did play some great and unexpected stuff (so an over 50 told me)
