Dave Thorley Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Mighty Elegant - I don't know what it is, but it sho is funky / I find myself falling in love with you - Jaber - Mint £18 + £2.50 UK shipping, £3.50 the rest of the world Stone mint original Jackie Beavers label for this funk classic, flip side has the equally cool 'Lowrider' sweet group standard
Guest sugar Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Hi Dave, ....I'll take a copy of that one, £20.50 will be winging its way to you tonight when I get in from work.....wanna ask you , do you know anything of a track called " Pain " by Little Flint, any knowledge would be great.....regards Chris Barley
Chippy Minton Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Hi Chris, Pain has also been recorded by Nova's Nine on ABC and also Michael & The Mystics, but the label escapes me there. I've always thought that the Nova's Nine version was the original, but perhaps someone else can either confirm or deny that. It's got more of a garage feel than Little Flint, and is a little faster paced but ultimately sells for a lot less. I think Little Flint were from the Ohio area, again as I seem to recall that the Beast label was based there. It's certainly risen in value over the past few years, possibly due to its popularity on the Mod scene... 1

Windlesoul Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 (edited) Novas Nine did it first, definately. I interviewed them. Not happy bunnies with Grass Roots. Will put the whole story in Look in Your Box forum in a minute as I am aware this could go way off topic. Edited February 25, 2015 by Windlesoul 2
