Guest Jamie Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Right, Take it slowly, cos I'm really thick. I downloaded 'Irfanview', but when I put the parameters in for re-sizing all it does is cut all the picture out & leave the top L/H corner? It doesn't re-size just cuts it all away. And how do you cut down a full-size scan just to leave the label???? Confused of Leeds

Save the image (desktop?) Open Irfanview. click on file in top left corner of toolbar. Click on open. Choose saved file from where saved (desktop?) Click on open and it will bring up full size image. Click on Image on top toolbar. Click on resize / resample. Then resize to suit. Click on OK box.. Click on file toolbar. Click save as and save (usually re writing the original file name) Should then work. Hope this makes sense.
Guest Jamie Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I'll try it tonight when I get home. How do you cut it so you just get the label scan instead of the whole record???
Craig W Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I'll try it tonight when I get home. How do you cut it so you just get the label scan instead of the whole record??? link You can crop the image on irfanview. photo the record and save, and go through the same procedure with Irfanview until you bring up the full size image and resize / resample it. If you then point your mouse in the middle of the image and click you can drag the box to crop the image to just the label. Then click on the edit toolbar and click crop selection and it should work but you may need a bit of practice. Then click save as etc. VM
Guest Jamie Posted November 10, 2004 Posted November 10, 2004 Craig, I did all that, and when I tried to include another FEE label on Cool Lables thread, it added it as a bmp file and you could not see it on the screen, but had to download it first? How to you turn the file into a jpeg file so it shows on the screen?? Jamie
