Guest MARTIN SNOW Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 got one for sale, pm me for details, cheers cod Must take slight issue re the LP, actually there is one other good track "Hot Tea" which is a good midpaced jazz funk instrumental toe tapper with driving bass, used to spin it out in early sessions. Theres also another LP by Kalyan called Trini Vibes from 1977, this contains the track "I can't give you anything but love" which is a far superior version of the track on the Harvey Scales 1978 Casablanca LP. In fact its exactly the sort of spin you'd hear at my new Crawley Area Sunday Sessions starting in two weeks time, every reason for you to be there ! Put Crawley in the search on this site for details.
Helena Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I have the LP (possibly for sale...M-) and the '45. The versions differ a bit, the one on the LP is over 5 mins (the '45 version is 3.50 i think) and isn't as "tight" in production if you know what I mean. The LP version also has a guitar break that's over one minute towards the end, but that can always be faded out. I think there are some decent tracks on the LP, but nothing as good as JLMLYOMT. Great tune!
harpo1 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 ALL THE WAY ANOTHER GREAT TRACK I HAD A 12" MARC CHACKETT FOM CANNOCK HAS IT NOW
Guest Kieran D Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Love this track. Picked up the LP not too long ago. Can anyone recommend any similar tracks with that bouncy disco vibe to them?
purist Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Wearing my RCA fanatic hat it's never been an easy 45 to find, especially the black issue copy. Having said that the price doesn't really reflect the rarity (yet)
Dave Pinch Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 The flip of the 45 is great..if you like slower stuff
Ncfc Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Surley not a rare 45.were quite a few about when it was played at early modern events early/mid 80s.
Dave Pinch Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 ive had 3 of em just as a casual collector type bloke......black issue, and 2 demo`s one of em wi reverse labels
Ian Seaman Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 You sold me one of the issue's for £18 Dave ta muchos grassyass 8>) Ian. 1
John Benson Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 (edited) also issue in the west indies on RCA Have you actually seen one of these, or going on what it says on Discogs or somewhere? Edited May 26, 2014 by John Benson
