Guest kolectem3 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Allway,s been around the £75 mark even when covered at Sheridans, cracking tune thou and not overplayed
Itsthebeat Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Most copies of the Lloyd Price Monument 45 on ebay are usually not in mint condition and often have label writing. I've sold a couple of perfect demo copies with company sleeves recently for 150. A seller sold a copy on here for £120 last week.
Mace Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) I recently sold a Ex- promo copy off my website for £40.....some writing on label (see link below) Been sat on my site for at least 5 months at that price, and shows at top of second page on a google search. It actually sold on the same day that this want was posted. Sometimes Google is all it takes..... https://rhythm-and-soul45s.com/ourshop/prod_3581147-Lloyd-Price-Oh-lady-luck-Monument-Ex-swol.html Edited February 12, 2015 by Mace 1
Guest lovethetunes Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I got £150 trade for a mint copy last month.
Foxman Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Yeah, was lucky to get that one above for 40quid. Looks as though everyone's selling 'em between 120-200 all of a sudden. With that "about to be HUGE" tag next to it. Best of luck, hope ya get one for a decent price!
Jnixon Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 theres a world of difference between asking for and getting a price. 50 quid max 1
Itsthebeat Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 My last copy of Lloyd Price just gone for £100.
Itsthebeat Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 (edited) i have a copy on my website for £50 What condition is the 45? Edited February 12, 2015 by itsthebeat
Mot Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Steve's got it down as a clean VG+ with a small bit of writing on the label, but I can vouch ( and in sure many others will too) that Steve's a top guy and his VG+ will be in great condition.
Mace Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 I suppose the true mark of what it's worth will be proved by how long Steve Hiscocks copy sits on his site @ £50. If it is indeed worth £100+ it should surely fly out off the back of this thread alone???
abbeyrnb Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 thanks guys appreciate it , here is a link too the website with scan of label and soundfile https://rhythmlounge.co.uk/shop/search.php?pageid=2972952&q=lloyd
Raresoul45s Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Both copies I have had for sale this week, a demo and an issue have both now sold, the issue sold in hours and the demo took until last night both at £200 I know most disagree with the price I asked but that was based on recent demand and people asking for copies over the last month or so. These two copies I had, I picked up at £120 and £75 so I've even been paying over the top according to opinion on here. Darren
Mace Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Good luck to you Darren if you can get those prices, I just don't see this record as more than a £75 record in mint condition. Then again, nothing surprises me much with record prices nowadays. 2
Mace Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Wonder how many copies of his similar titled ABC release will get mopped in error up off ebay now it's seems to have regained popularity? 2
