I love the harpsichord when it gets dark and gritty near the last break. Magical record.

Only one listed on Popsike 2012 - I don't recall seeing a copy for a long time

Truly awful in my opinion and I have a high tolerance for (white) pop records, though not necessarily played at soul nights.

Interested in the memories of those around in the days this was played.

I will always have a fondness for this , my first all Dayer 1985 ! Ok it was a mod all Dayer but every time I hear it I'm transported back to the floor with Derek & ray blasting out , happy days

First heard it at Wigan... One of those marmite sounds.. You either love it or hate it!

I collect black stockers.. This was one of the hardest, think!

St. Ives had this ages before Wigan, remember asking Richard if he'd got it and he said he was waiting on a copy but would definitely play it (at Wigan) when he got it.

I nearly had a bid on that stocker on eBay last night, only had one.

Dragnet 67 is the better side IMO, remember RS playing that at Wigan

Has it finished?.......not that I would ever want one, hate it but not seen a stocker.

I've got this on the album it's a demo and still sealed carnt bring my self to open itpost-664-0-74796000-1423482303_thumb.jpg

I won the eBay one last night.. First one I've seen..

250... Probably too much.. But I've been looking for ages.

Blimey Nick, understatement, thought you were going to say £75!

Hiya Pete.. How's things.. Couldn't put a price on it.. And I wanted it..

Wonder what it would have made on JM auction?

I stopped bidding at £600 for Susan Barrett.. Ended up paying less than £200 (I think)!! 18 months later! You watch.. A few will surface now!!

for me instrumentals are big part of proper northern soul!

The left one is Derek, the right one is Ray. :)

Massive youth club sound round this way around '78-'80. After Wigan closed I don't think I ever heard it anywhere again.

This is a rare photo of the actual recording session.
