HI, HERE’S ANOTHER LIST OF NICE ORIGINALS, AS ALWAYS THESE HAVE BEEN PLAY GRADED, FOR THOSE WHO STILL CAN’T GET A HANDLE ON THIS — IF I SAY THAT THE RECORD LOOKS VERY GOOD BUT ACTUALLY PLAYS MINT — THEN IT DOES! IT WILL BE PRICED ACCORDINGLY — NOT AS A MINT RECORD BUT AS SOMEWHERE INBETWEEN VG AND MINT. A RECORD CAN LOOK LIKE IT CAME OUT OF A SKIP AND STILL PLAY SUPERBLY. I SHOULD KNOW, MOST OF MY COLLECTION LOOKS LIKE THAT…WITH MOST OF THEM IT’S THE INTROS THAT HAVE A LITTLE NOISE

Has a little ring wear but vinyl is beautiful and plays mint

ANNABELLE FOX — LONELY GIRL — SATIN DEMO VG+ 100 SOLD

Monster beat ballad — crackles on first part of intro — otherwise great

EDDY LYON — I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME BOY — SMOKE VG+ 100 SOLD

Rare one from the George Blackwell camp, sold for £200 last week — little crackle at start but fine after that

LIZ LANDS & THE TEMPTATIONS — MIDNIGHT JOHNNY — GORDY EX+ 75

Rarer West Coast copy. Light label wear, superb vinyl.

SHEILA FERGUSON — HOW DID THAT HAPPEN — LANDA VG+ 75

Possibly her rarest solo 45 — vinyl looks VG+ just a little crackle at start

MARIE KNIGHT — TO BE LOVED BY YOU — ADDIT EX- 60

Good R &B dancer, just a tiny bit of crackle as it starts

DON RAY SAMPSON — BABY COME BACK — E VG++ 60

Again, just the first few seconds have a couple of pops. Fantastic Jim Webb penned Stafford sound

ROBERT NEAL — I’M SO GLAD — PORT DEMO EX 60

Cracking dancer. Couple of light marks plays mint.

THE FABULOUS EMOTIONS — FUNKY CHICKEN / NUMBER ONE FOOL — NICO EX- 60

One of these went for a crazy price the other week. Funky Chicken is an old Catacombs instrumental, with a good vocal version on the other side. Both sides play great, just a tiny bit of noise on the run in. Nico is the first label. Rare one and in demand.

LINDA JONES — YOU HIT ME LIKE TNT — BLUE CAT DEMO VG++ 60 SOLD

Okay this is a little hard to describe. The TNT side has a big purple stamp saying Red Records 15 112th St but doesn’t make it look unattractive. The other side though, someone obviously wrote the artists name on a paper sleeve in marker and this has soaked through into the vinyl so you can plainly see the words Linda Jones on the vinyl! This causes minor clicks. So if you’re buying it for the Northern side it’s a bargain.

So hard to get on this label in decent condition — this one is lovely — initials on label

LITTLE ANTHONY & THE IMPERIALS — BETTER USE YOUR HEAD — VEEP EX 40

Great copy. Octagonal label design.

LANDY — DOCTOR GOOD SOUL — MOON SHOT VG++ 40 SOLD

Superb Chicago soul, this will have it’s day. Light surface marks, not affecting play at all.

New one to me — uptempo girl group dancer with a good midtempo flip side.

Brilliant track — lovely demo copy

ANITA HUMES — DON’T FIGHT IT BABY — ROULETTE EX 25

Another excellent dancer from Anita

Looks mint, couple of small background pops. Lots of writing on flip side label.

This plays brilliantly and is a rare white demo, but it has possibly the most bizarre message written on the label: “I shall be covered” — don’t ask me. Also has F F on label. Great copy to play or listen to though.
