Guest Michael Wilkins Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Can anybody tell me anything about this band they were british and recorded for Beacon Records the u.k. label. They did a great version of Eddy Grant's Black Skinned Blue Eyed Boys

Guest son of stan Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Got this somewhere myself on French Polydor. Don't know anything about them myself. There also seems to be a later remake on Ice: https://www.45cat.com/record/guy11 Eddy Grant seemed to go in for remakes - he did loads of versions of 'Nobody's Got Time' over the years...
Guest Michael Wilkins Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 I'm guessing that as Beacon was owned by a West Indian guy, and their releases were either American acts like The Showstoppers and Bobby Wells and the rest West Indians living in the UK, like Ram John Holder, he could been West Indian, living in the uk maybe from Guyana, as Eddy Grant was from there, and he produced it. It's a graet record and would love to know about him, Google doesn't bring up anything
