Have you looked at Carolinasoul.com? 

 

poster should definitely have a listen to the radio shows on there. 

 

there is some awesome gospel from this neck of the woods.

Check out this posting last year by Jason Perlmutter re Durham City Soul in NC.... lovely display in the city itself in the history hub.

 

 

Coincidentally, the postman has just delivered a Blind Boy Fuller LP - one of Durham's favourite Blues musicians - he's buried there - a great exponent of the Piedmont blues style of the Eastern seaboard states....

In 'Rhythm Message', the focus is still firmly southern soul - a bit broader than the Carolinas / Virginia remit of 'It's Better to Cry' , although there are still plenty of bands / artists included from there.
