I had a record for sale, plainly stated as an unofficial release; a buyer contacted me and asked me if it was a reissue or an original. I told him it was 100% reissue/bootleg and that I would not sell a reissue and pretend it is an original. Today I find he has left me neutral feedback because "he bought the wrong version". Now what fault is it of mine that he bought the wrong version? I was honest in my description, and I also confirmed to him in writing exactly what the record I was selling was. Are you able to remove this feedback or am I stuck with it? details are below:
192422865
Bobbi Lynn — Earthquake / Opportunity Street (7", Single, Promo, Unofficial) (Elf (2) — 90,009)
Media Condition: Very Good Plus (VG+)
Sleeve Condition: Not Graded
Paper scuffs but excellent plus
£12.00
Q: Hi,your ad says unofficial promo, does that mean a boot or is this original?. I would only wish to buy if on orig.demo, thanks
My Answer: Peter, no it’s exactly that — unofficial = bootleg. I wouldn’t try and pass off a boot as an original. Original will cost 30 or 40 quid. I have a UK Stateside demo original but not on US.
cheers
