i'll give ya £100 for the table and chairs, hope you put a table cloth under that dusty old box haha

I knew SS folk would take the piss ! like I did watching my GF trying to work out how to get one in the CD Player. As for you Dobber, you obviously have a sharp eye for antique IKEA furniture !

Dave , £150 cash and 2 Bacon Butties ? :g:

As usual, I try and you lot take the piss. Anyway I'm not stupid, got to be worth £155 and a cheeseburger. That works out at 32 pence for each record, bargain.

Are you sure this is the correct section of the forum to see this type of thing?

I posted it in 'Look at your Box' which seemed appropriate at the time, If there was a section on SS entitled 'Look what a bag of shite I bought, as a teenager' I'd have selected it. Bloody Collectors....could dance 'em off the floor easy, never met one who could dance !

Dave

Got a feeling you might make more out of bottling that smell & selling it then the actual sale of the vinyl.......I'll be round for a sniff ASAP

Cheers

So come on, share a list of the contents!!!!

34 years in the lofty, there has to be list for us to ooh and aaahh about

Make a list....not for £170 and a veggie-burger, if our boiler hadn't gone west, they'd still be up there ! Anyway just to whet your appetites, I found a pristine copy of 'Skiing in the snow' on UK Spark, Yeah, read it and weep suckers ! Also, amidst a pile of LP's is a Wigan Casino CD, complete with a pop-up Wigan Casino ( disappointing X-mas present )...ha ha, who's laughing now ! Begging letters from John Anderson will be ignored.

As an aside to today's loft adventure....If anyone knows of a Gas Fitter near Blackburn, who can fix my Viessmann 100 - W boiler, which has packed in providing hot water, I'd be grateful, because I stink !

well, until he tries to clean them all with glass cleaner......

Not Windolene !, Kris, I mean the posh spray stuff with 'added vinegar'. Anyway most of them look OK,  just one or two have historically been emergency cleaned with spit and a wipe on the T shirt.

What box ?

Oh I wish my memory was better. There's a guy called Ron who's into Northern and is a plumber / gas fitter who lives near Blackburn, just don't have any more details.

Thanks Anthony, I'll give him a ring after the 'engineer' from Viessmann tips up on Wednesday (When he can be arsed apparently ) ! Me I'm just a qualified mech. engineer, but if I take the cover off the boiler...David Cameron's troops will immediately arrest me, because I haven't had a brew and some toast with a Gas Safe Assessor!

YSB ! And, by the way...It's Blackburn ( Capital B ) Premier League winners...which none of you Scousers have managed yet, although I fancy Tranmere to pull it off before you lot !

Surprisingly enough we use a similar term for Burnley, with insulting references to interbreeding, because Burnley is ever so slightly smaller than Blackburn. Blackburn has more traveller sites than Burnley, therefore we have to endure the BB's chant of "You keep horses in your kitchens" !

Posted (edited)

Yes, they hilariously sing about "interbreeding" oblivious to the fact that they actually mean "In-breeding"....the exact opposite  I think it was the Nobbers who sang it 1st.

Aren`t we getting a little off-topic?
