Ik001 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 missed one yesterday ebay :-( So did I acky went for £200 ish so my £150 snipe was in vain. Don't come up for sale too often. Always liked this one since Tim Brown started playing it 10 plus years ago.
Stompingsevens Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Is this before or after the HULL issue?
Mot Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) After the Hull issue, but IMO the Up Down is a far better record......added brass, etc............and the much better dancer too......the one people want.....Hull one sounds dull in comparison. Edited January 13, 2015 by MOT 1
pow wow mik Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 (edited) I think it's the same tracks with instruments over-dubbed on the up-down release, definitely adding more oomph but the percussion is a bit out of time, a good idea though as it transforms the song. having said that, I like the Hull version, as a cool r&b dancer; about 10 years ago I used to mix the two when djing, there was footage on youtube of a club where I'm doing it, and f*cking up the cut Edited February 7, 2015 by pikeys dog swearing - workplace filters 1
Straight Up Posted January 14, 2015 Author Posted January 14, 2015 missed one yesterday ebay :-( Yeah gutted I missed that one. Hay ho, fingers crossed eh, you never know.....
Liamgp Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 The Hull version is a great RnB record and has a much better sound quality to it if you listen to them back to back on a home system. the Up-Down version does the job over a club PA however and also warns any shipping in the area of possible hazards. 2
Dimples Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 I've had both and Hull version is not a patch compared to Up Down. Pretty boring without horns. Only thing that makes it worth someting it's the other side "Quickdraw" which is same on both releases.
Straight Up Posted January 15, 2015 Author Posted January 15, 2015 Hi Guy's, nice debate about which version's the best, but still the question is "who's selling......."
