stokesoulboy Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 I spoke to the owner of itzy records daughter a few years back, she told me her father loved the record and put it out on his label around 5-6 months after swan. Hope this helps pete 1

What could I get for a battered demo of Eddie Carlton Misery / It Will Be Done? I say battered - the intros on both sides are VG then it plays fine. £50? £75??

Guest turntableterra Posted December 12, 2014 Posted December 12, 2014 a guy called itzy kline from pittsburg owned the label. he released records that were popular at the time and played by a dj called crazy mike, I think at his own club. there is a full list of about ten records released, and I know there are some that I wondered why ! depends on tastes. but recently driving around ausrtralia the following records, not hard core or rare soul but can be heard on the radio weekly, I suppose its just popular music of the day ling ting tong ( I was shocked at this one, another version to billy hines) colour my father the joker went wild opus 17 its too late turn back the hands of time ciao baby ( I sit and think "turn it over PLEASEEEEEE") no body but me again and again then all the usual motown, sly, etc
Pete S Posted December 12, 2014 Author Posted December 12, 2014 ling ting tong ( I was shocked at this one, another version to billy hines) There's a fair few versions of this including a great one by Prince Buster
