Popular Post Ian Dewhirst Posted November 19, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 19, 2014 Wilbur Walton great tune. Found in a Sheffield junk shop for 25p and given to Pat Brady 'cos he was with me when I found it. We were having a discussion whilst travelling out of Sheffield city centre and he was telling me how difficult it was to find great Northern unknowns back then and I was arguing that they were still out there waiting to be found. I saw a second-hand record shop, screeched to a halt and told Pat we'd find one right there. 5 minutes later I pulled out Wilbur Walter Jr. Job done LOL! Ian D 5

MrsWoodsrules Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) What about - Evil - by Posse on Janus. I see this going cheap a lot on eBay & always think it was probably worth a lot more then than it is now. Think it may have even been a Russ Spin? But I wouldn't bet on it, don't think its was Richards. Was big for a while, bit weird too. Edited November 19, 2014 by MrsWoodsrules

Yeah, forgot about both of those. Massively fast. What about Ral Donner, Don't Let It Slip Away. I actually hated that, even though I think I had a copy, white vinyl if I remenber properly, sounded more like Elvis than soul. Edited November 19, 2014 by MrsWoodsrules

Still Diggin Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Don't get out any more , so I have little knowledge of what gets played out at northern venues these days. Here is two that gary rushbrook played Chryslers 'not gonna loose you' and the creations 'just remember me' probably one of the most soulfull midtempo's I had the pleasure of hearing there. 1
