Precisions, Such Misery.

While this is what I'd call a real oldie (so I don't know if it was first spun @ Wigan), a real clapper & got some hammer from loads of different DJs @ Wigan all the time I was going, really associate this.

Ade. Its the same backing as Stemmons Express. Love power C/W Woman love thief. Wand. But cant remember which was first, think the wand one was from 69

Thought Zola was more of a Cleethorpes tune, don't remember it getting played that often at Wigan

Helen Shapiro Stop And You Will Become Aware...hated most of the Brit Pop spins but had a soft spot for this and her other outing that was played very briefly by Richard, Take Me For A While .....

  was a big casino tune....

 

Originally released in 1974 as a B side by Nosmo King and was simply called "Goodbye". Acetates later sent out by Pye and name changed to the Javells. I have the original somewhere in the house.

 

Update: Found one of the two I have (below), the other is mint label.

loved it back in the day sounds awful now

found a mint demo bout 10 yrs ago at car boot sale paid 10p for it, sold it the next week £40 was marked as sensible offer expecting about a tenner and scooter boy said i'll give you 40.

it was a big scooter rally tune at the time

In amongst the mists of time these remind me of The Casino but haven't heard for years & don't think have been mentioned yet?No idea if they were played there first or not?

Dunno..... but defo remember a floor full of girlies at Wigan when it was played circa 77.

Thats a perfect description for the Peggy March tune -  white poppie shite describes a lot of the tunes played at Wigan - and yes I love it too

Might have been played at Cleethorpes but deffo played at Wigan my mate TC used to go mad for it.......

 

It was a big Wigan record, that and Larry Santos always used to turn up back to back on Emidisc via Pep
