come on peeps i'm spendin too much

Maybe lavern baker - Dix a Billy would fit that..always under a tenner and imo a bit underrated..

Recent purchase is Margie Hendrix (ex Raelette) with Packin' Up - great uptempo gospel influenced number. Classic 45 have a handful of stock copy. Brilliant!!

The Margie Hendrix tune sounds interesting, Dave. I've got copies of her version of One Room Paradise and I Call You Lover, both on Mercury, but have not heard this one and there doesn't seem to be a clip on YT - how much did you score yours for?

What about

Lowell Fulsom - Talkin' Woman

As it happens, I got one for sale. Tenner plus post from Germany. Anyone interested in a cheap R&B monster?

Another gospel tinged screamer is Helen Bryant with "That's a promise" on Fury. Flip is a deep soul number.

I've got a huge obsession for Margie Hendrix. It's nice to see people enjoying her voice. I watched a copy of Restless go unsold the other week and in great condition. £5 starting with no takers. Rather an overlooked diamond she is!

Big Mac - "Thats the way".

(Always try and crowbar this into a set,when i can.About £20.)

A recent pick up - still relatively well priced.... Ruby Lee "I'm Gonna put a Watch on You" Poptone

And an old favourite. Cheap as.. One on Discogs at $9

Titus Turner, Your Lovin' is Killing Me, Maggie Records 1964....

"When you run your fingers down my back

You give a dirty old man a heart attack....."

As great as Ray Charles is - it is Margie who steals the show on "Hit the Road Jack"

So underrated but amazing vocalist.....

One more 5 pounder.... From 1963 Lowell Fulson "Love Grows Cold"

I thought I would throw one more in to keep the thread alive. From 1963 Billy Bland "A little Touch of Your Love" on Old Town

Mik that is a brilliant number - thanks for posting :)
