spot Posted November 29, 2014 Posted November 29, 2014 These two should be in you gas man's list. Seems Larry is the name for top soul sounds 2 Top tunes, Larry Laster was a Monster tune and I can't choose between that and Ty Karim. Spot. Here is Mine for today another from the deep nighter hours. This is the flip to the Fuller brothers Torch classic on Soul Clock. This is my prefered side--Moaning Groaning and Crying, wish it got as much action as its overplayed top side https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHeaze Another excellent track and a more recent one to my ear, sounds better now Patto because we've slowed down a tad but the A sides a Classic we were all spoon fed and it was so sweet. Kev I like that, sounds like a lot of stuff from that era but it brings out the Disco side of me and the productions always A ok. Spot. Spot. 2

Mick Sway Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 One I've just picked up; The Major IV "Down in the Ghetto" Venture I broke my own rules on this one falling for the blurb on the Drop Down Auction before checking what I could get it for on discogs. There is however a uniqueness about the copy though, as it's been mislabelled as Phil Flowers Discontented on Dot. Puts me in mind of The Exits "another sundown". A real pedigree with a swirling production by Micky Stevenson and Bob Relf. 3

Peter99 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Just got one of these back in me very modest collection - still love it. I remember Hocky dancing to this one night at Clifton Hall - might have been Cleethorpes. Me, I danced all night to almost every record. Curtis - How Can I Tell Her on Charm City Records. Pedro 2
Mick Sway Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 (edited) Another one that reminds me of Middleton nighters, proper group dancer. The Pacesetters - I'm Gonna Make It Minit Definetly a tune! Only fault is that despite being only 1:56 long it runs out of steam at 1.40 with a long fade out. Such a shame because the boys were doing a fab job. Hope you don't mind my saying.
