August Set Sale Soul List: Northern, Modern, Sweet, Funk, R&B, Mod

Please see the bottom of the listing for information on grading, payment, etc. Occassionally people have trouble playing soundclips on their computer - if you do just let me know and I'll email them to you. I can also email a photo of any label not pictured here.

Barbara Lynn - I'm A Good Woman/Running Back $40

Tribe 8316, VG (a lot of light marks that don't really affect play, plays great!)

Listen: https://media.putfile.com/Im-A-Good-Woman

Gloria Walker - You Hit The Spot Baby/Walking With My New Love $40

Flaming Arrow 37, VG+ (mark at beginning of You Hit The Spot causes a couple light ticks), great in-demand sister funk, perfect compliment to the Barbara Lynn in fact

000_4877.jpg

The Whispers - Doctor Love/Lonely Avenue $80

Dore 751, VG++ (b-side is VG+), small tear on label, great uptempo northern sound

Listen: https://media.putfile.com/Doctor-Love-20

000_4878.jpg

The Natural Four - Hanging On To A Lie b/w Twelve Months Of The Year $400

Boola Boola 1002, VG to VG+ (light scuffing, a couple short feelable marks. Both sides play strong with a few background tics on either side, labels are clean.)

Record probably needs no introduction. A bit of a holy grail record here in the Bay Area and very tough to find in good playable condition.

Listen to both sides in their entirety:
