This was un-issued I know but anyone know when it was discovered and by who?

Is the Dore 2nd of Rita the only vinyl outing and does anyone have a scan of it?

Cheers

  • Yes, chalky is correct. I bought it in the late 8ts. It has a decent Northen flipside too. Nothing wrong with the 45; almost mint. Both sides are written by William Powell and arranged by Miles

I think I played it off a master tape acetate first

So on 45 it`s only on the re-issue flip of Rita?

It isn't unissued but I only know of the one copy and Butch has that.

Think there's something wrong with it though, maybe damaged / unplayable ? , sort of like on of the recent(ish) vinyl copy of Margaret Little with a piece missing.

Cheers

It looked ok although I didn't inspect it too closely.  He has played it at Lifeline a few times.

Had a quick search as I remember someone else than Butch played this and thought of Tim Brown.  He played it back in 2002 but maybe same copy?

I think Tim's was maybe some sort of Goldmine test press when they were compiling the CD, could be, probably wrong?   They did I'm sure when doing the cd list it as unissued I think??

Tim B thought it was unreleased and was playing a dub of it about 8 yrs ago.

Ady should pay more attention, as ive played it at the 100 club (recently too)

Judging by this thread and many others, the Northern Scene is one giant game of Chinese Whispers!

I played it once or twice in the late 80s from master tape, it was thought to be unissued and Tim got a copy of my master tape which is why he thought it was unissued. I didn't stick with it as I didn't like it that much. Great to know it was Miles and William Powell. All I need is a Scan now. LOL
