Missgoldie Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 What do you mean by sound fault? It's a bit of a lo-fi pressing but plays fine.
Steve G Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) Low fi, but no fault on mine…Lyrics are quite naughty tho Steve Edited November 4, 2014 by Steve G 1
Guest Ivor Jones Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Well thats 3 good ones then……!The sound fault Ive heard is kind of like a scratch 'whoosh' [No laughing at the back, you know what I mean]…..But no physical scratch on the vinyl[i.e. no scratch across the vinyl]……Its the same on the B-side too. Just wondered if they are all like it ?Just out of interest,do any of you who replied use an Ortofon cartridge ?
Mal C Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 (edited) mines fine... its a tad Lo fi as Miss Goldie said, but Ive heard allot worse.. mine plays on Stanton cartridges, so cant answer that.. Mal Edited November 4, 2014 by Mal C
Tricky Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Mine plays fine but are they all faded labels? Never seen one with a decent label yet.
Sean Hampsey Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Mines fine, but they are all a bit Lo-fi I believe. Such a cool record. Sean
Mal C Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Has anybody ever worked out whats actually going on int his record, I mean in relation to the words, is she just a gal, meeting a guy at a motel, or is she a hooker? opening words, whats your hurry baby, but then she says treating me like Im for sale, which I guess is not from the point of view of a hooker... dunno, its always made me wonder when i listen to it.. what do folk think>? m

She plays the hooker and he plays the client "treating me like I'm for sale" and , away from the home environment, without the attendant pressures, he can afford to take his time - "what's your hurry baby?". On reflection, I've spent far too long thinking about this record!

Incidently, when you say "Quick on the draw"....is that like when we lads were all inexperienced and more often than not, very quickly......Shot the Cat? Edited November 5, 2014 by Guest
Northernguy Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Mine plays fine and label is good on vocal side but bit faded on instrumental side.
Eddie Hubbard Posted November 5, 2014 Posted November 5, 2014 Mine is almost mint , with clean labels , it is lo- fi , but great record I think .....
