I read some where that the 7 dwarfs changed into The Ambassadors in 64 ,but this is reckoned to be a 66 tune ,just wondered if there was any thing more known about it ?

Don't think that cane be true mate, this is definitely 66, they wouldn't have known to nick that Satisfaction riff in 64

Bazza. Paid £110 for a original quite a few years back. Used to play it out at places like Winsford, Middleton etc to always a great reaction. It's a hard record to find. Still think it's a great tune

Bazza I paid 100 for it year ago. Was played at stoke massive reaction but rarely heard so when it is it usually works. Does for me but can understand some not liking it careful on boot and origs

This seems to be one of those tracks that's too rare for one side of the scene - and not rare enough for the other, so doesn't get the plays it should.

It was a big sound in Wigan Casino back in the day.

It was not played for very long as it was booted very shortly after it became popular.

That was in the days when a newly discovered record was dropped by all DJ's as soon as it was booted.

The pressing and the original are very similar.

just look it up there , billy

Just have Billy not there now

but found an orig in Rubbersoul records in Stoke for £5 missed by Keith Minshull & he passed it to me it had £7 on it & Rob the owner said it was a good £10 record

i said it only had £7 on it he dropped it to £5 so i took it there where other copies of it in the boxes but the 1 i had was different it was a thinner vinyl with F/W in the dead wax

Yeah it was a big sound, at the very same time this was big, Bobby Diamond's Stop & Helen Shapiro Stop Pretending, every third record had Stop it in the title it seemed.

Helen Shapiro's was the biggest on the dance floor but Bobby Diamonds the best sound IMO.

Long time - no play, and one of those tracks that instantly puts you back on that Station Rd floor.

Yeah agree, love that track, the bit where the track stops dead & then carries on, superb.

What a voice too, pretty fly for a white guy!
