Have some been found? Same thing with Towanda Barnes, 4 from same seller over three weeks

There are some very prolific and efficient record diggers out there in the Usa now,so if things are high in price, you can bet your life they are being well and truly hunted down!

Amazing to see so many big ticket items turning up that were once thought to be so rare.

You pay your money and take your chances or you go find em yourself :)

It's two copies and two only, from the horses mouth... The third copy could be mistaken as the Jason Yoder copy out of Indiana, not to be confused with Jason Perlmutter out of Carolina?

dont understand that post henning..weather he has some or not he`s got sense and will keep schtum.. no one in the right mind would admit to having copies of an expensive record...a furniture dealer or a bookseller not armed with the knowledge..but an  experienced rare soul dealer will tell NO ONE

I know we all branch off with different tastes, but i find it mind boggling that people on a soul forum could call this record crap.

I thought it would be one of the undisputables. Forget northern soul and all the sub-genres, forget soul even....

just as a piece of music, a piece of pop music even, it's just a masterpiece isn't it?

I dont like the modern sound to the tune as a NS dancer, but I agree its not crap. I would enjoy listening to this when on a long motorway drive cos its relaxing.

Just seen a bootleg release of this

so will that start to affect the price of an OVO........ Nahhhhh

Ten years time when many collectors are mostly retired then the price will fall or hope the Japanese still want to collect. :hatsoff2:

other than the names mentioned above, some of which I'm aware of, I know of 4 other people who have this one.. lets face it they would have done a run of 500 wouldn't they?

As i said dave, thats fine for me if you think everybody does it.

for myself, i wouldn't play this game. Soul is love and passion.

me too..i`d be giving copies  to friends locally and selling some real cheap elsewhere..i`m not a dealer... i wish they would all follow the likes of dave thorleys lead when he gets multiple copies like he`s done recently... most are not like that tho..

Boots or re-issues of big records are nothing new and going off the eBay sale of the original ,have no effect on the price of originals .

.examples ...Eddie Parker ,constellations ,Hopkins Bros ,Sag war fare !

Pretty sure Hamilton movement has been played out in big rooms for yrs on a goldmine 7 ?

Exactly Nev.

Manships 2 most expensive auction items ever have both been booted countless times but has this had any effect on the prices of the originals? Not one bit.

Can't understand why the person who did these Hamilton Movement bootlegs & several others got the label size wrong as they might have fooled a few from a distance in the local fleapit dark village hall Soul night.

Also folks know who plays these faux things & who play the real thing

How legit we're the other reissues of this on soul beat and soul mafia?

Probably like most.original soul rarities . Based on bluff and ignorance... But I stand to be proved wrong?

Watch "THE HAMILTON MOVEMENT - She's Gone - 1976" on YouTube - THE HAMILTON MOVEMENT - She's Gone - 1976:

It's a dancers record...not a middleaged man's record sat at home tapping his foot too the beat type of tune.

On the contrary prophonics , this middle aged man has been sat at home tapping his foot to this tune at least half a dozen times today .Magical feelgood sound .

And i am playing the boot , already had my six quids worth .

At least you owned up to feeding the man ,who makes a dishonest living out of making illegal ,unlicensed copies of genuine records ,that do have a copyright which states it is illegal to do so .

Its a bit like buying the laptop of the druggie ,who stole it ,to pay for his habit, from someone who worked hard to pay full price from a shop !

I remember seeing a newspaper article about someone who went to court for recieving stolen goods.

He got a bigger fine than the guy who stole the goods and the judge told him ...as long as there are people like you to sell to ,he will continue to bring misery to honest ,hard working people!

One last thing ....pow wow mick touched on the subject ,so what does it feel like when the parcel arrives and you open it to reveal a rather odd looking copy of a record ...do you marvel at it ,does it make you go "wow" and when you put the needle on it ,does it sound amazing because it plays all the way through with only a few clicks ,but it plays and doesnt skip or jump !

No ..Bless you ,for thinking that it feels the same as me .. buying a record, getting all excited awaiting it's arrival ..and even more excited when you open the package and then even more excited when you give it a careful wipe before placing it oh so careful on the turntable ....

Then finally realising :g: ," ive just spent £6.99 ,but  i could have nicked the soundfile from youtube for f**k all and still got the same feeling " Doh !   :(

P.s ,i did ask ,but you decided to try and belittle me with your one word answer ,so i tried to imagine for myself how it feels  :hatsoff2:

Just played it again, sounds even better knowing someone objects to me listening to it ! a kind of illicit thrill! love it .

Nobody would be objecting to you playing it if it was a £10 record.

People often don't understand that mere mortals cannot afford to pay three weeks wages for a record that they could buy for a fiver, and don't give me that copyright and robbing the artists stuff, how much money do the Hamilton Movement receive from each £1000+ sale of their record?  Er, nothing...same as they don't get anything from the £5 bootleg either.

Bet deep down though you wish it was an original copy.
