Hi there,

I just wanna know the current price of this one on the Ohio based Capsoul label. Last time I saw it went on eBay for $7.50, but John Manship has one copy for 30GBP

If anyone has a nice & cheap ( ) copy for sale, please PM.

Cheers from Mexico

Got one for £20 in my sales box...

Also got released on AVCO for about half the price.

Yeah, but I think that the AVCO one is a later relaese. If I'm not wrong there was also an avco pic sleeve whistling.gif

Cheers

Capsoul is the local release, Avco is the national.

Great record that's often overlooked because it's 'cheap'

Ok! Thanks for the correction, so maybe I'll buy both of them whistling.gif

Yeah, a great record indeed...

...Let's not forget that the "A" side, "Go On Fool", is a killer piece of wrist-slashing deep soul, in the mould of Toussaint McCall's "Nothing Takes The Place Of You", and easily worth a tenner on its own!

PS: Methinks thou hast imagined that picture sleeve, BTW. We sold loads of copies of "Go On Fool" as a new release import in "Record Corner" in 1970-1, and not one of them came in anything other than the usual gaily-coloured Avco house bag....

I had a Picture Sleeve Tone - it was a European issue though. Could be that causing the confusion.

...I've no doubt that you're spot on there. I'd be interested in seeing that sleeve, if anyone has one they could post up. I've always imagined Marion to be a great hulk of a man, what with that very girly name and all (him and John Wayne!)

Hi there,

Thanks for all the info!

I must admit, I haven't heard the A-side, but the flip is enough hehe

I saw the p/s about a month ago, but I'm probably wrong.

great record and it also shows up in a love scene montage during episode 3 (or 4?) of the US TV show "Weeds" which airs on Showtime. Season 1 is on DVD so you can rent it too.
