ockers Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Nice on 45 but its the glorious 5:01 version on the trammps disco champs lp version which is the killer imho 2
Steve Plumb Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Nice on 45 but its the glorious 5:01 version on the trammps disco champs lp version which is the killer imho Superb version Sean and still well under the radar too? An Epic tip from back in the day It is amazing how many folks are still unaware of this extended mix as it comes on a Phil Int LP issued years later, after they had hit with Disco Inferno on Atlantic. Some other great unreleased dancers on the LP too! See you at the weekend mate, bring it with you! Steve
ockers Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Yes a good andy tip steve will cerrainly bring it along at the weekend mate Yes its surpeising people chasing the 45 when this version is so much better!! Should be a cracker Cheers Sean 1

Paul McKay Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 great record had it on 3 labels lp epic, Philadelphia , and golden fleece. I kept the golden fleece one There is no US 45 of "Stop and think" European only or do you mean on LP for all three?
Benji Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 Nice on 45 but its the glorious 5:01 version on the trammps disco champs lp version which is the killer imho Funny that. Because I think Stop and Think is among the most tedious Philly dancers of all time. I know it's rated highly by many. But to me it's almost a in-case-of-insomnia-play-this-record-and-fall-asleep-instantly record.
Chas Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 "Rubberband"by them also worthy, sampled(stolen)lots of times.. by that 50 pence fella to name but one.
Ernie Andrews Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 The US acetate has a alternate drumming sequence at the beginning - Tubbs on here will verify as it was his!
ockers Posted September 3, 2014 Posted September 3, 2014 We all have different ears As far as philly music is concerned its classic stuff in my view abd irresistible 1
