Linda4me Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 (edited) Just received one of my all time favourite 45s from the US and under the "Description of Contents" it says 45 rpm record with the artists name next to it ?? this is asking for trouble i reckon and must be down to the seller its's a good job the value was put at $10 or it might have gone astray ?? Labeat Posted August 27, 2014 Posted August 27, 2014 Thats weird, iv'e always had "used record" on my packages, like you say- askin for trouble, the temptation is there for theft
Soulstu Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 No, it'll be the Ron Grainer Orchestra - who wouldn't rip that package open (and set fire to the contents). 1
John Reed Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 A while back I recieved a package and on the customs docket it stated 7" Single Nicky Newarkers - Woman, I was a bit shocked when I saw it.

Imagine my face when the parcel had Willie Wright - right on for the darkness ( hotel) with a four figure value next to it! The only saving grace was, it got through customs with no duty charge 1
Andyd68 Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I returned from holiday last week with a two boxes on my doorstep one was 30 cm squared and I though what the hell is that to myself ,as I pulled up in my car.On the side was a invoice which stated that it was contained a us record called natural four - Hanging on to a lie. The other box contain records as well they had both been left there for about four days which is just down from the local pub untouched and all fine. very lucky

Mick Holdsworth Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 I've noticed that if it's an eBay item, and the seller uses an online method to pay for the postage, then the "Detailed description of contents" automatically fills in the eBay title, so this will happen a lot I think. Cheers Mick
