pikeys dog
If it says 1973 on the label it's a reissue... It's that simple. Link to comment Social source share

Jim G
Is this one of the boots please? jerry.JPG to be 100% this is NOT a boot but a bona fide 1973 release. The original 1st release has the Broadway address on the label and is much rarer. The 70's boot was on green OOTP records 2 Link to comment Social source share

There are at least three variations, and although I have two of them, I still don't have the original release. 2 Link to comment Social source share

Northern Soul Uk
Yes I have the Green OOTP one, but I thought I would look for an original release to replace it. I have read that the OOTP one is the original version with the longer break in the middle, and the re-presses were different and another press was a completly different recording. How true is this? Mick Holdsworth
Yes I have the Green OOTP one, but I thought I would look for an original release to replace it. I have read that the OOTP one is the original version with the longer break in the middle, and the re-presses were different and another press was a completly different recording. How true is this? It's the other way around. The Original Calla (And the Spanish Exit release) both have the "shortened" break. The 1973 reissue (And the UK Pye DD release) both have the extended break in the middle. I think the OOTP one actually misses part of the middle break Never had one, but if the OOTP also has the shorter break, that simply means it was booted from an original. I prefer the longer reissue, although the clarity of the original is a little lost. Decided years ago to keep both, as I liked aspects of each over the other. Cheers Mick 1 Link to comment Social source share

Benji
HI ALL,,, BACK IN 73 most people got a copy of the reissue & many people have enjoyed the fuller sound plus the strings on it, Despite the fact that the reissue plays at much lower volume? 1 Link to comment Social source share
