Soulfulshoes Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) Hi can anybody shed any light on these 2 labels, both bought as original issue demos, but totally different. I know this is quite common that same issue come out of different pressing plants with various labels but what about these two. The one on the right seems to be the most common one so what about the other? Thanks in advance ......... Edited August 5, 2014 by Soulfulshoes
Mal C Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Got the right hand one Barry, dunno but left has the full label addy, and the other nothing, but bar that and the logo those labels are the same, I wouldn't think they were not legit. Pressing plant label variation I reckon... Malcolm
Kjw Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 I think Flying Dutchman was an Atlantic label so I guess they're just different pressing plants
Sjclement Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 Flying Dutchman changed distributors from Atco to RCA around the time of this release (1972) perhaps this was the reason There are at least 2 variations of lable on other releases.
Gibby Gibby Posted August 6, 2014 Posted August 6, 2014 the one on the left was around in 70"s when Russ played LOVE we received just 5 from John Anderson at the piece hall Halifax bob said could have more but didn't rate the track so much at that time. We never received any records on the design on the right but the above explain seems perfect.
Soulfulshoes Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Many thanks to everyone for the above, i`ve actually kept the one on the left as it just seemed to be the harder one to find. Atb Baz.
