Last night in Newquay was a special night of northern soul, with all proceeds going to Kev Marshall and his family, and the macmillen nurses that are caring for Kev so well.

The night started with a buzz with people arriving early and getting straight out on the dance floor. The music was superb but this surpassed by the overwhelming generosity of the crowd, in total £624 was raised on the door takings and raffle, and another £120 for the nurses. Kevs brother and sister both came along with other family members, which was amazing, and especially moving when Kevs Brother took the microphone to say a few words.

Tony and myself cannot thank everyone enough, you should all be very proud of what you have achieved, special thanks to steve from the griffin. and the dj's that gave their services for free, and still put money in the kitty !!

Well done Jo, but I am absolutely horrified to see the mention of McMillan nurses, I knew Kev was ill but thought it was to do with some kind of bypass, cancer was never mentioned. Jesus.
