Gointoagogo Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Edwin Starr fans? - would anyone on SS not like this CD?
Gointoagogo Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Lol - well done Snakepit - the point I was making was that there are always debates (to put it politely) on here about how we all have different tastes and one mans top 10 is anothers dross - but surely everyone likes Edwin. I hope this is one of the best selling cd's of the year - I know I'll be getting one. 2

Mike Lofthouse Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Pity it is not Kent - hope BBR(?) make a good job of it About time all the Ric Tic stuff was made available legitimately and comprehensively! 1
Triode Posted July 30, 2014 Posted July 30, 2014 Sounds like a couple of great releases from "The Soul Master" I hope they sell really well .......a little surprised "Time" & "If my heart could tell the story" are not included Triode 1
Britmusicsoulfan Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Edwin Starr fans? - would anyone on SS not like this CD? I would love this on CD simply for ease to transfer to the cloud where I keep music on my phone and tablet. Cheers.
Britmusicsoulfan Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 If someone would put out other Ric-Tic and Golden World (legitimately) on CD, that would be great. Oh yes, a compilation of soul and funky tracks from Le Cam would be ace!
Chalky Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Is it legit? Who is putting it out? Any links to the details?

Just share with fellow Motown fans.... Edited July 31, 2014 by Guest
Ian Dewhirst Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Interesting. Wayne Dickson who runs BBR is a mate who I usually see whenever he's in town. He didn't tell me he was doing an Edwin Starr com for f*cks sake. I'm sure he's missing a few potential Edwin tracks here. It'd be nice to have "Don't Tell I'm Crazy" on CD but I'm sure there's several other currently popular Edwin tracks that aren't on here. I'm thinking it should be a double CD to do the job properly. So I wouldn't mind a list that I can chuck at him next time he's down if anyone fancies obliging with some suggestions.... Ian D

Ian Dewhirst Posted August 1, 2014 Posted August 1, 2014 Better get a move on Ian it is scheduled for 8 September - Amazon taking pre-orders! Yep, too late already unless BBR's release dates are as elastic as Harmless's, which is unlikely. Ian D
Jim Elliott Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 (edited) Great to see ES getting some cd recognition at long last. personal fave is "24 hours to find my baby" ...but, as has been said a double cd would be a boon;) Best Jim Edited August 2, 2014 by Jim Elliott

Guest Ivor Jones Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Sounds like a couple of great releases from "The Soul Master" I hope they sell really well .......a little surprised "Time" & "If my heart could tell the story" are not included Triode I was just thinking the same, how bizarre……"No Running Back And Forth" either ! I guess they must think the missing ones all fall into another category……..unless theres another Edwin Starr comp waiting round the corner !
Rob Moss Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Is the 'Backstreet' instrumental the 'B' side of the single or the proper one? 1
Ringleader Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Are the tracks that are on CD for the first time taken from the tapes or dubbed from records?
