Guest Bearsy Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Pure class and what a beautiful woman she is too !!!
Martyn Pitt Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Live vocal as well! I think that she is miming it Pete, no microphone, and at one point I was sure the vocals continued after she had closed her mouth. Either way great find, lovely tune, one of Doris's favourites. Martyn
Guest Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 I just love this song to pieces! Brilliant video only slightly marred by the gay dancers

Either way great find, lovely tune, one of Doris's favourites. Martyn Martyn I've seen it a hundred times, she is singing it live, trust me. It's slightly out of sync on youtube anyway. Anyway if you're familiar with the song you'll notice little adlibs and different pronunciations of certain words. Barbara McNair sings You're Gonna Love My Baby live on the same program and you can't see her mike either but she's 100% singing live
Guest Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 For firefox of course... You can download the vids with Greasemonkey and this: https://www.joshkinberg.com/blog/archives/2...ased_google.php Re-name downloads to .flv Then play it with https://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FLV-...load-27852.html

Pete S Posted July 28, 2006 Author Posted July 28, 2006 (edited) Out of interest Pete what show is it from? Martyn It's from Hullaballoo. I've got 3 dvd's from this show, this is where all the clips in circulation came from, I was still in Hastings when I did the first compilation so you can tell how long ago it was (I've been here 4 years 3 months). Had to laugh, I did a 90 minute video (this was before dvd recorders) called Soul A Go Go using all the best clips from this series and did a nice cover for it, sold a few on my list, went to Stoke and someone had copied it, including the cover, and was flogging it for twice as much as I was selling it for I think the dvd's are still available from the USA Edited July 28, 2006 by Pete-S
Cheapsiderecords Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Superb, goose bumps a go-go. Pure Northern Soul

I think there are only 6 volumes of the Bear Family dvd's. Stuart Tyler would know as he's been promising to lend me them now for nearly 18 months. They are the master tape versions of the ones we all had on vhs (cost £100!) back in 1996.

In the second last edition the promoter of "the Beat" (forgot his name at the mo, shame on me) who obviously had a alcohol problem is deadly pissed and stumbles into the band...resulting in the last episode being presented all the way by none other than Otis Redding

But my favourite(not for amusement but for sheer quality) without a doubt is to see Joe Matthews singing "She's my beauty queen" I think he was trying to emulate Jackie Wilson with that calling with his hand around his mouth - fantastic!! You can get them off Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/search/ref=nb_s...x=11&Go.y=5 Kev
